March,1978	Sumi-Al Product Sales Co., Ltd. was founded for the sales of Aluminum, Alumina Products etc. by Sumitomo Aluminum Smelting Co., Ltd.
January,1987	Ownership of Sumi-Al Product Sales Co., Ltd. was transferred from Sumitomo Aluminum Smelting Co., Ltd. to Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd..
October, 1999	Sumika-Alchem was founded, taking over the right and duty of Sumi-Al Product Sales Co., Ltd. except for some Inorganic Flocculants sales, as part of business reorganization of Sumitomo Chemical Co., Ltd..
